Natural Resources Building Event Schedule:
Wednesday:
4 pm- 6pm: Nature Nerd. Tamarac Refuge staff & volunteers will engage
families in a nature activity.
Thursday:
11am-12pm: Mussel Mania. Learn about fascinating mussels (DNR MinnAqua).
4pm-6pm: Nature Nerd. Tamarac Refuge staff & volunteers will engage
families in a nature activity.
6pm-7pm: Minnow Races. Pick out a minnow & see how fast it
swims. (MNDNR).
Friday:
11am-12pm: Turtle Races. Bring your own, or use one of ours
(MNDNR).
1pm-3pm: Check out my trailer. Inspect a trailer to find all
the things that needd to be corrected before this trailer can safely & legally leave the lake
(PRWD).
2pm-3pm: Fish Printing. Print a fish and press this image onto
a piece of paper to take home. Fabric paint will be available for t-shirts (MNDNR MinnAqua).
3pm-4pm: Minnow Races. Pick out a minnow and see how fast it swims
(MNDNR).
4pm-6pm: Nature Nerd. Tamarac National Refuge staff & volunteers
will engage families in a nature activity.
Saturday:
10am-12pm: Aquatic Invasive Species crafts. (PRWD)
1pm-3pm: Bait my Hook. Learn how to tie common fishing knots and bait your hook (MNDNR
MinnAqua).
4pm-6pm: Nature Nerd. Tamarac National Refuge staff & volunteers will engage families
in a nature activity.
