Listed below is the 4-H  and FFA schedule for the 2016 Becker County Fair.   The dates for this year's Fair are July 27 - July 30, 2016.

Monday, July 11 (3:30 pm)

  • 4-H Clothing construction & Fashion revue judging (Union Central) 
  • Judging includes constructed and purchased garments and all others will be judged at the fair.

Thursday, July 14

  • 2:30 a.m.             4-H Cat & Pet Show (Essentia Oak Crossing Nursing Home)

Monday, July 18 (3:30 pm)

  • 4-H Demonstration (project & youth in action) & Food Revue & Performing Arts (Union Central - DL)

Thursday, July 21 (3:30 pm)

4-H Performing Arts Competition

Monday, July 25

  • 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. 4-H Building, Food Stand preparation

Tuesday, July 26

  • 2 - 6 p.m. 4-H Building, Food Stand & Barn preparation
  • 2 - 6 p.m. 4-H Club Booth Set-up (4-H Exhibit Building)
  • 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m.  4-H & FFA Rabbit entries in place (Livestock buildings).                    

Wednesday, July 27

  • 8 am                   4-H Rabbit Judging , Amanda Foltz Arena   
  • 1:00 pm              All general livestock in place 
  • 1:00 p.m.            4-H Genereal Livestock Exhibitor Meeting (Foltz Arena)
  • 1:00 pm              4-H & FFA Livestock Verification for all breeding and market animals 
  • 1:30 pm              4-H Poultry Show
  • 2:00 - 6:30 p.m.  4-H Exhibit Entry and Conference Judging in 4-H Building

Thursday, July 28

** NOTE**  Shows begin at 8:30 a.m., starting times for the swine, beef and dairy shows are estimates.There will not be a break between shows so exhibitors and families should be prepared and ready to enter the show ring when called.  All shows and the auction are held in the Amanda Foltz Arena.

  • 8:30 a.m.          4-H & FFA Swine Show (Amanda Foltz Arena)
  • 10:30 a.m.        4_H & FFA Lamb Lead, Sheep show, & Market Goat show (A. Foltz Arena)  
  • 1:00 p.m.          4-H & FFA Beef Show (Amanda Foltz Arena)

Friday, July 29

  • 8:00 a.m.         4-H Horse Show (Horse Arena)
  • 8:30 a.m.         4-H, FFA & Open Class Dairy Goat Show (Amanda Foltz Arena)
  • 10:00 a.m.       4-H, FFA & Open Class Dairy Show (Amanda Foltz Arena)
  • 3:00 pm           All 4-H trophy reciepients must be available to complete thank you
  •                         cards in Foltz Arena 

Saturday, July 30

  • 7:30-8:30 a.m.    Market Auction Bidders Breakfast (4-H Kitchen & Dining Hall)
  • 8:30 a.m.           4-H & FFA Round Robin Showmanship Contest (Amanda Foltz Arena)
  • 9:00 a.m.           Market Livestock Auction
  • 12:30 p.m.         4-H Fashion Revue held under the Big Tent
  • 12:30 p.m.         4-H Horse Fun Show begins, Arena 
  • 1:00 pm             4-H Horse trophy recipients must be available to complete thank you cards 
  • 4:00 p.m.           State Fair Meeting & Registration-Regular Encampment (4-H exhibit building)
  • 5:00 p.m.           State Fair Meeting & Registration-Horse Encampment (4-H exhibit building)
  • 7-11 pm             4-H Dance (Amanda Foltz Arena)  
  • 11 pm.               Exhibit & Livestock Check-Out

Sunday, August 1

  • Early a.m.          Livestock check-out (All livestock must be out of the barns by 9 a.m.)
  • 7:30 a.m.           Exhibit check out (All exhibits removed from 4-H building by 11 a.m.)

Saturday, August 13    4-H Dog Shows (Lucky Dog)

  • 9 a.m.               Agility, Obedience,Rally, and Showmanship will be judged
