Listed below is the 4-H  and FFA schedule for the 2018 Becker County Fair.   The dates for this year's Fair are July 25 - July 28.

Monday, July 9 (3:00 pm)

  • 4-H Clothing construction & Fashion revue judging (Ecumen Nursing Home-Forest Center) 
  • Judging includes constructed and purchased garments and all others will be judged at the fair.

Wednesday, July 11        

            - 3:00 pm              4-H Performing Arts Competition

Thursday, July 12

  • 2:30 p.m.           4-H Cat & Pet Show (Essentia Oak Crossing Nursing Home)

Thursday, July 19  

            - 3:00 p.m.           4-H Demonstration & Food Revue (Union Central - DL)

Sunday, July 22 (5-8)-    4-H Club Booth set-up (4H Exhibit building)

Tuesday, July 24

  • 3:00pm   4H Judges Orientation (4-H Dining Hall)
  • 3:30-8:00pm  4-H Exhibit Entry& Conference Judging (4-H Exhibit Building)
  • 6:30-8:00pm 4-H Poultry & Rabbit entries in place (MANDATORY) (Livestock&Poultry Meeting)

                  

Wednesday, July 25

  • 8 am                   4-H Rabbit Judging , Amanda Foltz Arena   
  • 1:00 pm              All general livestock in place 
  • 12:30p.m.            4-H Genereal Livestock Exhibitor Meeting (Foltz Arena)
  • 1:00 pm              4-H & FFA Livestock Verification for all breeding and market animals 
  • 1:30 pm              4-H Poultry Show
  • 5:30                   Market Goat, Sheep Show, Lamb Lead (Foltz Arena)

Thursday, July 26

** NOTE**  Shows begin at 8:30 a.m., starting times for the beef and dairy shows are estimates.There may not be a break between shows so exhibitors and families should be prepared and ready to enter the show ring when called.  All shows and the auction are held in the Amanda Foltz Arena.

  • 8:30 a.m.          4-H & FFA Swine Show (Amanda Foltz Arena)
  • 10:30 a.m.        4-H, FFA, and Open Beef show ( Foltz Arena)  

Friday, July 28

  • 8:00 a.m.         4-H Horse Show -Pleasure Classes (Horse Arena)
  • 8:30 a.m.         4-H, FFA & Open Class Dairy Goat Show (Amanda Foltz Arena)
  • 10:00 a.m.       4-H, FFA & Open Class Dairy Show (Amanda Foltz Arena)
  • 3:00 pm           All 4-H trophy reciepients must be available to complete thank you
  •                         cards in Foltz Arena 
  • 4:00pm          State Fair Livestock Encampment Mandatory Meeting & Registration

Saturday, July 28

            7:30-8:30 a.m.    Market Auction Bidders Breakfast (4-H Kitchen & Dining Hall)

  • 8:30 a.m.           4-H & FFA Round Robin Showmanship Contest (Amanda Foltz Arena)
  • 9:00 a.m.           Market Livestock Auction
  • 12:30 p.m.         4-H Fashion Revue held under the Big Tent
  • 12:30-3:30pm   4-H Horse show- Game Classes (Horse Arena)
  • 4:00 p.m.           State Fair Meeting & Registration-Regular Encampment (4-H exhibit building)
  • 6:00                   State Fair Meeting & Registration-Horse Encampment (4-H exhibit building)
  • 7-11 pm             4-H Fun Night! (Amanda Foltz Arena)  
  • 11 pm.               Exhibit & Livestock Check-Out

Sunday, July 29

  • Early a.m.          Livestock check-out (All livestock must be out of the barns by 9 a.m.)
  • 8:30-10:30 am           Exhibit check out (All exhibits removed from 4-H building by 10:30a.m.)

Saturday, August 10 & 11     4-H Dog Shows(Becker County Fair Grounds)

  • 5:30-8:00pm (10th)      Agility Judging
  • 9:00am- 2:00pm (11th)   Obedience, Rally & Showmanship Judging
